3 cabins in Ustaoset. Norway.

Sometimes we build in Norway at places not easily accessible or at least not easily accessible all the year long, as this new development of 3 cabins that we are projecting at Ustaoset, in the middle of the mountain. 

Still in April, you need to rent a snow motorcycle and usually a driver to get there with supplies. These cabins are holiday retreats where R&R from the mundane world with all kind of comforts. These are buildings related with the major cabin in Ustaoset. A cabin the size of a small hotel with spa, discotheque, media rooms and all major facilities. 

Sport pavilion in Cehegín / Pabellón Loli de Gea en Cehegín / Pavillon du sport à Cehegín/

 The area of intervention is what remains of what was previously the sports hall of the municipal pavilion. In the snow storm of the year 2016, the roof of the track collapsed, with what today there is a floor on the ground floor with beams propped on the first floor.

 The intervention covers only a part of what was the sports track, linked to the Carmen Conde C. The rest of the building includes changing rooms, offices, swimming pool and other rooms of use linked to it.

Unitech Zefyros II Windmill Icebreaker.

Duran Blazquez Architecture Engineering is collaborating with Unitech for the development of Unitech Zefyros II Windmill Icebreaker.

Unitech is now the owner of its Hywind Demo floating wind turbine in Norway called Unitech Zefyros, used as an infrastructure for research and technology projects in Metcentre at Karmøy. This windmill is the World’s First Floating Wind Turbine ever created.

In its next phase, the floating turbine will also be utilized as a hub for connecting new turbines, and for the development, testing and qualification of new technologies, as well as teaching and training.

The pioneering work that became this historic wind turbine will be transferred to a new phase and made available for research and technology development as part of the “Sustainable Energy Ocean Test Facility” and for the benefit of all those who are concerned with Sustainable Energy at sea.

Talent Arena. University and training center of marine sciences in Rubbestadneset.

The project consists of a collaboration between the local, regional and national administrations of Norway with the Unitech Offshore company, and is linked in turn to the research and development center of Unitech in Rubbestadneset.

The program consists of a teaching center at the university, secondary school and vocational training levels linked to the sciences of the sea in its broadest vision. In this way the agreement will develop university and professional training of various subjects such as engineering, research, fishing or fish farms in the same building.

Renovation for a Cultural Center building in 1.680 building at Skuteviksbodene 9, Bergen.

We are working on a project for the renovation and widening of a historic building in Bergen, on Skuteviksbodene with a budget of 2.5 million €.

The building is protected, built in 1680 and one of the oldest conserved in Bergen, whose roof was damaged during an explosion in WWII. The works have appeared in several Norwegian magazines, national TV and have even a fan facebook page to follow the works.

Aurora Fjell Mansion

Situated amidst the rugged landscapes of northern Norway, atop a gentle rise overlooking a glacial fjord, the Aurora Fjell Mansion has been commissioned as a private residence for a couple of philanthropists and contemporary art collectors. The clients seek a radical fusion of organic architecture, advanced sustainability, and immersive views of the natural spectacle of the Northern Lights.

The building should appear sculpted by the Arctic wind: a fluid structure with elegant, curved lines, as if it had emerged from the frozen ground itself. It must blend into the environment without imposing upon it, featuring expansive glass surfaces that capture the Nordic light in all its nuances—from the soft grays of winter to the fleeting golds of the midnight sun.

The interior must include:

• An underground art gallery, carved into the rock, with museum-grade lighting and independent climate control.

• A glass observatory on the upper level, equipped with state-of-the-art telescopes.

• Meditation and reading rooms facing north, with complete acoustic insulation.

• A self-sufficient smart home system, powered by solar panels discreetly integrated into the design and wind turbines seamlessly embedded in the architecture.

• Interior finishes using Norwegian stone, recycled Arctic wood, and local wool textiles, preserving the soul of the place.

More than a residence, it is envisioned as a sensory retreat: a minimalist temple in the midst of the boreal silence, where design not only shields from the cold but also celebrates it.

La vivienda que esta a punto de  finalizar, se planteaba para su construcción en un tiempo record de 4 meses mediante el uso de un sistema semiindustrializado de construcción que reducirá los plazos habituales para este tipo de edificios.

Finalización del Colegio Conde Campillos / Conde Campillos College.

AMPLIACIÓN DEL COLEGIO CONDE CAMPILLOS EN NUEVO EDIFICIO DE 6 AULAS DE INFANTIL Y 1 DE PSICOMOTRICIDAD.

El colegio Conde Campillos es un centro de enseñanza de larga trayectoria en el municipio de Cehegín. Debido a las obras anexas del auditorio municipal la zona norte del recinto se presentaba como un espacio de transición entre el colegio y un nuevo lugar público  deslamazado por los diversos usos que había tenido a lo largo de los años.

 

Vivienda en Aguilas: Casa López Martínez / House in Aguilas

El proyecto consiste en la construcción de una vivienda en garaje en Aguilas, muy cerca de la playa. 

 
Como premisas de proyecto, el desarrollo de un programa ajustado a una parcela en esquina, con un recibidor amplio pero sin disminuir el resto de espacios de la vivienda, limitada la superficie construida por la normativa local.

The project involves the construction of a new office building designed to accommodate the growth of an expanding technology company.

The client’s aesthetic requirements focus on creating a bright, well-lit environment that conveys a serious and professional image while maintaining a modern sense of space. The layout is carefully planned to maximize the efficient use of built areas, while still providing a feeling of openness in both common areas and individual offices.

Early design proposals explored the use of unconventional materials and more experimental spatial concepts. However, these options were gradually set aside in favor of a more balanced and coherent final architectural image.

Compliance with European lighting standards, along with the use of noble and traditional materials, forms a fundamental part of the project’s development and overall design approach.

UNITECH SAVAGE V2.

 The commission consists in transforming the design, image and form of the general design of the The commission consisted of collaborating with a naval engineering company to redesign the aesthetic appearance, image, and overall form of a work vessel intended for rescue operations, construction, underwater installations, and offshore refurbishment. This project corresponds to the second design version of the vessel.

The objective of the assignment was to update the original, pragmatic but conventional appearance of the ship, transforming it into a more innovative and distinctive design that reflects the corporate identity of UNITECH, one of the leading international companies in marine and underwater construction, particularly within the oil and gas sector.

Teknologisenter Rubbestadneset / Technological centre in Rubbestadneset / Centro técnologico en Rubbestadneset

The project is based on the design of a research and technological development building that looks towards the 21st century as an opportunity for greater diversification and research within the Norwegian industry.

The complex, located in Rubbestadneset, will have work areas for research on new technologies, machinery development, computer science, data, conferences, reception and offices, in order to be to be a national and global reference of research.

The project is developed in collaboration with the Dutch company B + B Arkitekter AS.

Casa Durrant: Casa Pasiva en Murcia / Durrant Passive house in Murcia / Maison passive à Murcia.

 We have projected a passive house in the northwestern range of Murcia.

In addition to the largest thermal and acoustic insulation on the market, the house has geothermal facilities with 12 wells 130 meters deep around the house, photovoltaic solar panels, solar panels for hot water, underfloor heating, heated indoor pool and heat recovery systems.

The Old Town of Cehegín was declared a Historic-Artistic Site by the Ministry of Culture in 1982. There is also a Special Plan for Interior Reform in the same as local urban regulations, and a catalog of areas and buildings of interest.

The original housing consists of several extensions on a conventual building of S XVI. Previous to this are the remains of medieval wall and tower of the XII and XIII centuries of the Arab premurala. In the area closest to Calle Mayor, the newest areas of the house are probably located on the convent building. These, together with the entrance to L, are modifications of the S XVIII and IXX.

The project develops the multinational company Unitech Offshore headquarters, expanding and improving existing facilities.

Proposal for expansion of Bomlo´s Industrial dock.

The proposal proposes the development of the industrial port of Bomlo in the North Sea, getting new space for buildings creating new land reclaimed from the sea.

The proposal shows the possible urban development and circulation of automobiles, as well as the new industrial capacities that could be generated in the area.

 

Unitech Slvage Offshore rescue Vessel

 The commission consists in transforming the design, image and form of the general design of the vessel made by a nautical company for rescue works, construction, underwater installations and offshore reforms.

 The purpose of the assignment is to update the initial image of the ship, pracmatic but conventional, to a more innovative and groundbreaking design, reflecting the corporate brand of Unitech, one of the most important international companies in marine and underwater constructions, related to the world of oil and gas extraction.

I attach a new article about the rescue operation that is planned in Norway regarding a WWII 70-year-old German submarine sunk with about 65,000 kilograms of mercury located in the wreck on the seabed off the island of Fedje in Hordaland.

Duran Blazquez Architecture_ Engineering have participated in the project, redesigning the rescue vessel planned by Unitech and partners in order to participate in the rescue mission.
The core of the battle is the mercury load, which is probably Norway's largest point source or so-called "hot spot" of pollutants.

Complejo de oficinas Line / Line Offices Complex.

El objetivo de laintervención era realizar una distribución pragmática de oficinas para diferentes usos comerciales y de trabajo para una empresa.

Las limitaciones del edificio en el que se realizaba la distribución obligaron a crear grandes zonas sin luz natural y las divisiones de trabajo se realizarón con fines acústicos buscando la sensación de un espacio continuo mediante paneles de cristal.

El proyecto trata la urbanización y construcción de 1 vivienda de grandes dimensiones en lo alto de una colina que domina toda la ladera de una zona semimontañosa de campo.

La rehabilitación a buscado la dignificación perdida de las fachadas y la vivienda, muy difuminadas por las heridas de la guerra civil, la ubicación de locales comerciales a principios del S. XX y el uso de diversos propietarios.

The project consists in the design of an office building of 800 m2 and a storage space of 1,000 m2 in Stordbase. Stord. Norway. The building is intended for use by a high-tech enterprise of Norsea Group.

El proyecto se basa en el convenio de una promotora de suelo con un ayuntamiento del sur de España que se esta desarrollando. Como parte del convenio para el desarrollo de un sector de suelo no sectorizado la promotora de suelo desarrolla a su vez en el sector una biblioteca y un museo.

Hotel en la Plaza del Mesoncico de Cehegín. // Hotel in Mesoncico Square in Cehegín.

El proyecto consistía en la adaptación de un edificio compartimentado que provenía de una antigua casa señorial, a un edificio adaptado a los requerimientos de un hotel de 4 estrellas.

Rehabilitación ddel Convento Franciscano de San Esteban. Partial Rehabilitation of the Franciscan Convent of Saint Stephen.

El proyecto consiste en la rehabilitación de pqrte del edifio y del Claustro del Convento Franciscano de San Esteban Protomartir. El conjunto conventual está compuesto por la iglesia y el convento, de grandes dimensiones y dispuesto en torno a dos claustros. Declarado Monumento Nacional, se construyó entre los siglos XVI al XVIII. Es uno de los pocos ejemplos que subsisten del genuino barroco murciano. Fue fundado por Real Cédula de Felipe II. Las obras patrocinadas por D. Alonso Fernández Peñalver se iniciaron en 1568 con el maestro Ginés de Egea como director de las mismas.

40 Viviendas y aparcamientos / 40 houses and parkings.

El proyecto consistía en la construcción de un conjunto residencial compuesto por 40 viviendas. La propuesta se centró en la optimización de la distribución interior, buscando espacios funcionales, bien iluminados y confortables, capaces de responder a las necesidades cotidianas de sus futuros usuarios.

La organización de las viviendas se basó en esquemas compactos y eficientes, reduciendo al mínimo los espacios de circulación y priorizando las áreas habitables. Se prestó especial atención a la ventilación natural, la entrada de luz y la correcta orientación de las estancias principales, con el fin de mejorar la calidad ambiental y la sensación de amplitud en el interior.

El edificio se concibe con una imagen arquitectónica sencilla y ordenada, acorde con el carácter social de la promoción, utilizando soluciones constructivas racionales y materiales duraderos que garantizan un adecuado mantenimiento a largo plazo.

De forma simultánea, el proyecto incluyó la construcción de 85 plazas de aparcamiento en un nivel de semisótano, destinadas tanto a los residentes como a las necesidades complementarias del conjunto. Esta solución permitió liberar la superficie exterior, favoreciendo la creación de espacios comunes y mejorando la calidad del entorno urbano inmediato.

En conjunto, la propuesta busca ofrecer viviendas accesibles, eficientes y dignas, combinando criterios económicos con una arquitectura funcional y confortable.

MAGNA MUSEUM. Design competition.

El diseño se basa en el desarrollo de una morfología orgánica para un concurso internacional .

Edificio de 4 apartamentos / 4 apartments building

El proyecto consiste en la construcción de un edificio de uso mixto compuesto por 4 apartamentos y varios locales comerciales en planta baja. La propuesta se plantea como una intervención de pequeña escala, orientada a dinamizar la actividad urbana y a combinar el uso residencial con el comercial de forma equilibrada y funcional.

The residence is located within a densely developed urban area. The design seeks to create a home that offers both private interior courtyards and open views toward the city, combining intimacy with visual openness.

The upper floor of the house extends outward to capture views of the city in Alicante.

The project consists in the design of several industrial infrastructures in Eldøyane Næringspark in Stord, Norway. The client is the multinational company Unitech Offshore. These works include a gigantic building for offshore material load related to the industry of oil and gas extraction worldwide.

As part of the work we are developing in Norway, we assist national builders in the measurement of workloads for the budget valuation of constructions. This is an interesting residence project, developed by the Porsgrunn Council.

  

Vienda pasiva en Salabosque / Pasive house in Salabosque

Terminamos esta semana una vivienda ecológica en la zona de Murcia conocida como Salabosque.

La vivienda dispone de espacios diafanos y trasversales con un estilo interior muy industrializado dado que la pareja gestiona un negocio de asesoramiento para ceremonias de bodas.

Hemos utilizado un sistema de fachada con un aislamiento de 15 cms que nos da un coeficiente de transmision termica U value de 0.14 W/(m2K), lo que es mas que suficiente para Murcia.

Para las ventanas hemos trabajado con un U value de 1.8 W/(m2K). El interior esta terminado en pladur y los forjados estan realizados con chapa colaborante que se deja vista, sin falso techo.

Unitech Transport Vessel

The commission consists of transforming the initial design of a naval engineering company of a vessel, to adapt it to the aesthetics and corporate image of the Unitech Offshore company.

The company supplies umbilical cables and connections for oil and gas installations all over the world, and much of this transport is done on ships like this one, the image of these vessels has to respond to the global image of modernity of this brand.

House expansion and rehabilitation in Knarrevik / Rehabilitación y expansión en Knarrevik.

 The project consists in the widening and rehabilitation of an historic house in Knarrevik. The house comes from pre WWII times and is a quite nice example of the local architecture of that moment.

These works include a gigantic building for offshore production material related to the industry of oil and gas extraction worldwide.

Rehabilitation and widening for a house in Bergen.

The project consists in the rehabilitation and widening for a house close to the centre of Bergen. It includes new openings and skylights and a energetic rehabilitation of the building.

The project involves the rehabilitation of a house in Fjøsangerveien, Bergen. Within the same opening new windows are projected to illuminate the two penthouse floor of the building and general renovation.
